One reputable minister looked his audience in the eyes and said to them: some of you will not end well". His words sounded harsh to many but he was protecting his listeners from fatal ending. Not long after that, his prediction came true for several of his fellow ministers.
You and I only have the day time to work after which we will give account of what we did with our lives. That counsel does not sound 'sexy' (as they say) to a person who is riding the clouds of self-indulgence. Instant gratification appears to be the trending thing. Waiting and endurance are old school and obsolete.
I'm glad that God does not forget His people and His promise. God remembered Noah. God remembered Rachel. God visited Sarah as he has said. God will remember you, if you remain on the right course
If you have entered into a covenant to serve God, hold on to him tightly. We are living in the days of Noah once again. Following God may be eccentric in our time but it's the only thing that will secure you a safe seat in the ark when the approaching tsunami arrives.
As I mentioned in some other place, everyone will depart this word either rejoicing or regretting. The difference lies in what we choose to do with our time and life before the day of our departure.
Here are some scriptures to build your faith on.
Isaiah 55:11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.
Hebrews 6:17-20 Thus God, determining to show more abundantly to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath, that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us. This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.
Numbers 23:19 “God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?
Hebrews 12:1-2 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
Philippians 3:13-14 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
